The Mono-Cable Detachable Grip Ropeway (referred to as the “detachable ropeway”) distinguishes itself from traditional fixed grip ropeways as it employs a special device that enables the cabin to disconnect from and reconnect to the steel rope at the station. This allows for low-speed movement in the station and high-speed travel along the line. With a high degree of automation, the detachable ropeway provides easy boarding and disembarking, adapts well to various terrains, and boasts a large capacity, making it the mainstream type of passenger ropeway both at home and abroad. The innovative detachable ropeway developed by Beijing Materials Handling Research Institute Co., Ltd. (BMH) is technically proven and cost-effective, reaching a maximum capacity of 3,200 passengers per hour (PPH) in one direction. It has already been implemented in more than 100 scenic spots and ski resorts across China.
